T.C CURTIS - BUMP & SLIDE 12"(DUB VERSION) HOT MELT RECORDS, 1983

T.C Curtis has his fair share of adoring fans somewhere out there, I for one ain't one of them - there is just something about his vocals that really get to me, irritate me almost - I actually was in the habit of totally dismissing every single T.C Curtis record I came across, this for some funny reason happened to be the exception and boy am I grateful for that.

The needle stayed on the A-side (vocal side) for about 10 seconds, but upon flipping it over I realised I had a beast on my hand - minus the squealing of Mr. Curtis which was a very pleasant bonus. Heavy bass thuds and echo/flanger effects  - it remains one of my favourite boogie/dub remixes - simply because it goes off anytime it drops. If you buy any T.C Curtis record, buy this one - bold statement I know - I just haven't heard another one that comes close - maybe if he did less singing.
