DAM-FUNK for NONSENSE, compiled October 2009

In October last year during his European tour, we (NON-SENSE) managed to rope Dam-Funk into putting together a compilation CD of some of his favourite joints to distribute at his live event at Plastic People. I think we pressed about 400 of those CD's and they all flew on the night - well, here it is again available for download  . . . . . thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyable

Bo Khat Eternal Troof family band is Hype Williams and a bunch of affiliates and- in their words - delinquents that play with them live.

This incredible session was recorded live at a show in chapter one gallery, london last week.

Andrew is the biggest James Brown nut I know so I wasn't the least bit surprised when he handed me over this mix. This is definitely not the typical, run of the mill James Brown comp with the same ol' tracks but instead includes some of his earliest, rarest and unreleased cuts.

Very refreshing... simply because I haven't heard most of this before.

I'm a tough guy ... you know, I don't easily get moved, definitely not the sentimental type, but upon hearing this mix I almost cried ... It is possibly one of the most beautiful, aurally stimulating 56 minutes I've had in a long time. Otis sprung this one out of nowhere and I seriously haven't stopped listening to it since... gorgeous.
